I have chipped my prop and was told it could be welded, but for a few bucks more I can buy an aftermarket one it's design is a little different it is in two pieces a hub and the prop has anyone heard anything good or bad about this style prop?
I have had excellent success with reconditioning dinged props, and I have had the misfortune of dinging a few. My advice would be that if you had the "right" prop on there, get it fixed. Find out what size and pitch and buy one as close as you can find to it. Then you will have a spare.
I had an aluminum prop in which I dinged. Took it in to have it reconditioned and it $30 less than anew one. Bought a stainless steel which has saved me quite a few headaches
