Removing Volvo Drive to check Bearings??

I have a 2003 Volvo Penta SX drive. I had the drive removed to clean corrision this spring. They checked the bearings and put new bellows on. It seems now when I trim all the way down the drive growls or turn to the port side it growls. Is this normal???? What can I Check???

If I remove the drive will I need a seal kit to put it back on ? I would like to remove it myself to see whats going on. Also If they removed it, cleaned it, and put it back on what could have changed? Are ther shims? Do you have to center the drive? If it sounded good before it was removed, Can if be put on wrong??
