Removing Shifter on merc I/O

I need to remove my shifter to get to some wires. Can anyone give me a tutorial on removing it? Its a standard Mercruiser Quicksilver model side mount on the boat in my signature. If you need more info let me know. Thanks

There should be 2 screws holding the cover on, one front, one back, then once you get that off there are 4 bolts or screws holding the control box down.

Thanks, does the throttle just slide off with the outer part?
