Hey all, how do you remove the plastic covering on the engine of the 5.7l Volvo gi (2003)... doesn't seem to be any visible fastening screws holding it on?
Not sure what you mean by plastic covering on the engine, do you mean the housing or "dog house"? I bet the next question will be type of boat and pictures if possible.
+1, pull it straight up, no need for finesse. as OJ said it sits on three plastic posts from the topside of the block and a compression bushing or rubber oring on the cover side seats it down on the posts. Same for reinstall, once you have the posts lined up properly, give 'er a press down firmly to seat it back it place.
