I just figured out an easy way to remove old foam and just wanted to post it because when I was looking up how to do it for myself there was virtually no info available anywhere. If you are going to have to remove foam all you need to easily remove the foam is a chisel, any kind and a clawed hammer. Chisel out a section of the foam down to the glass or aluminum about six inches long and six inches wide, large enough to fit the hammer in. Now just get the end of the claw end of the hammer under the bottom of the foam between the foam and the bottom of the boat and rip away. If your foam is indeed rotted through it will rip out easily in large chunks. Happy ripping.
