So...

I'm removing my engine to replace my flywheel. My question is, is there anything else I should do while the engine is out? Seals or something?

And, this is my first time pulling a boat engine. I have all the wires and hoses disconnected and the front and two rear engine bolts out, is there anything else back there that needs to come out?

Thanks for any help, I couldn't a manual.

And yes, I do have the outdrive out.

if the coupler is worn, replace it while the engine is out, its the only way to do it

exhaust shutters/flappers

tighten all transom assy bolts/nuts

a genuine proper bilge clean

anything else on your boat that is difficult/impossible to reach with the enigne in place
