I'm thinking about doing a carb job myself, I've never done one, but would like to give it a shot.I have the clymers manual, I know it's not the best, but from what I've been reading the job itself isn't that bad.
The manual kind of sucks at describing removal,it looks like there are threads coming out of the power head that the carbs bolt on to.The linkage seems to be all attached to all 3 carbs, but not the engine itself so to me it looks like after removing the bolts, and hoses the carbs should come off, am I right?.
Do I need to do something with the linkage before removing the carbs.I read if taken off properly there should be no need for adjustment when replaced, does that sound right?.
How hard is it to remove them?, any surprises I should know about?,is it something I could do with the boat in the water, or should I definitely pull it out?.
Thanks.
