Remote control/shifter issue

This weekend my shifter became locked in neutral position. Ive looked on line and found a recall for it stating pretty much what happened. Id like to find a used remote control for an 1989 35hp Evinrude while I wait on dealer to get me in. Anyone have any ideas where to find a temporary replacement? Thanks

Any late 70's to early 90's shift/trottle assembly for OMC will work.
