Reflooring boat for the 3rd time, still looking for a working combo of wood/glue for longevity.

First time I purchased expensive 3/4" Marine-grade plywood. It rotted in < 4 years.
Second time I used 3/4" treated plywood and an exterior, water-based, marine grade glue (Henry's if I remember correctly). The wood lasted, but the glue only held for 2 years.
I am ready for round 3 and want to get it right this time. I was thinking of going with 3/4" treated plywood again and using a solvent-based glue like DAP Weldwood all-weather outdoor carpet adhesive.
Does anyone have any experience with this, could offer suggestions on what to use?

Probably isnt a wood or glue failure, sounds more like a sitting outside uncovered problem.

Look into using foam material.-----Fiberglass on both sides.------Ultra strong then and no rot.-----Material likely can be researched on ------Us composites.-----Composites Canada.-----Noah's boat building supplies and many other sources.

Old bass tracker. Stored outside, always covered when not in use with the drainplug pulled and front elevated in case of cover failure. Stored covered in a shed for 4 years of the last build. Used pressure treated plywood that was sealed with two coats of Thompsons. Been 10 years and the wood still looks good. Carpet just didn't stick. It did, and still is stuck to the aluminum side-panels however. After the carpet began to lift on the wood, it slowly disintegrated over time, so not much to take pictures of. I'll get some uploaded when I have time.

Well, that's the issue. You need to seal your wood with poly or poxy resin prior/during install. No glue holds up to mother nature. Adding glass helps too.

Good suggestion, didn't know they made stuff like this. I will look into it.

Well, that's the issue. You need to seal your wood with poly or poxy resin prior/during install. No glue holds up to mother nature. Adding glass helps too.

Top, bottom and especially the edges. Most guys will put glaas on top and underside.
