Hi All;
We have 2 engines that are both Mercruiser 3.7L L4 engines one of which we just acquired.
The original we have has a rectifier and I attached a pic here.
The one we just acquired, on the rectifier, does not have the piece of metal going between Point A and B marked on the pic like there is on the original. Even the nuts are missing so just a empty threaded post.
Before we fire up this engine, should I be putting a wire between point A and B? I'm concerned it's off for a reason or if that connector on the the other engine is some form of resistor or other.
Please advise!
