Reconnecting Hoses to Sea Water Pump

Hi all, I did the winterization myself this year for the first time on my I/O.

I'm just driving myself a little crazy making SURE I connected the hoses (inlet/outlet) correctly on the sea water pump. Basically the hose that runs along the manifold connected to the top pipe on the pump, and the shorter hose connects to the bottom pipe on the pump and runs up to I believe the thermometer. I have the same issue I have two motors and guess how many impellers I burned 8, until i find out one was a clockwise rotation engine and the other is a standar rotation, finally have the correct.

the in/out based on rotation is stamped on the cover of the raw water pump
