rebuild 115hp evi 1990

today i took the rodcaps off and took the pistons out and put the caps bak on,<br />put the piston assambly in seperate ziplockbags and wrote the cylinder nr on the bag.<br />took the crank out and inspected it and visualy i cant see anything wrong with it.<br />only on the upperbearing part i can see a even wear bud i think i can polish that out.<br />the pistons look worse than i tought bud thats ok.<br />now i can call my neighbour so he can let the guy know that the block is ready to be machined.<br /><br />i'm getting exited here bud still will take it slow and easy.<br />will keep u posted<br /><br />reeldutch

i'm sending the block out to the machine shop hopefully this or next week.<br />they will estimate wat they have to rebore may be 0.020 over bud thats for the experts.<br />than i will order new pistons wiseco forged and a lower ballbearing plus new seal. <br />i looked at the reed valves and one opening was dirty while the other 3 are pretty clean?<br />wat is going on???<br />how do i clean the reed valves??<br /><br />thanks reeldutch

Somehow I think I read that the machine shop needs to know that you are buying new pistons wiseco forged.
