Looking at building a deck back here. Just wondering if anyone has done this on this style of boat. Looking for ideas. Thanks!

Just put this tarp in to clean it up. I was thinking even just a bench across the back would be better. Carpet it

If I put a rear casting deck in, I would design it like the modern boats do. It would require modifying your splash well. Make the SW smaller and centered, drop its height to the lowest point of the transom. Then build the deck around the SW and out as far as you want. See pic below and note that part of that deck are seats that fold down to increase the deck size. Flipped up, more seating. Its what I originally wanted to do to my boat. Google rear casting deck and let your imagination run wild 3D6EE422-2C63-42C4-8F16-53152EA62293.jpeg

Not that exact style but yes I added a rear deck on my 18' SS but it has a belly tank. Elevated decks are a great way to get rid of those portable gas leakers too.

In deck cooler on starboard side and livewell on the port. The back smaller hatches are above the batteries with onboard charger.
