Let me know if you sold those seats. I need to replace mine and those look to be in good shape.

Thanks for the response, I wasn't aware of that but understand why it is there, however I'm confused by this "Solicitation by PM must be preceded by contact in the forum".

What kind of contact are you supposed to have had before you send a PM?

Anyhow, thanks for the tip and thanks for all those who post useful info here, it is a wealth of shared knowledge.

Embarrassingly simple ... I guess I was over thinking it!

Thanks again!

Not sure how far along you are, but I did the same to my bayliner. Got a lot of great tips from here. If you go to the thread you can see where/ how I cut them out then put in cleats and a new floor piece. Has held up great so far.

Re: removing lounge seat bases/bayliner pics

Hi Slayer315:

Thanks for the note. I looked up your thread and got a lot of useful info from it ... I am about to embark on the same journey ... although my boat is nearly 10 years older and I am expecting some rot for sure.

I am hoping that I don't have to replace stringers but will for sure have to rebuild some of the woodwork around the engine compartment.

I am also replacing the seats and might also opt for the pedestals over the back-to-backs.

Once it warms up a bit I will start to tear out the inside and will share pictures and start a separate thread.

Thanks to all who have taken the time so far to post.
