re-power from 2 stoke to 4 stroke

looking to buy a used 1996 mariner 50 4 stroke to replace my 89 mariner 60 2 stroke. What will the performance differ from the old 60 HP?. any issues with the 50 4 stroke I should be aware of?

Well never having had a OB 4 stroke,
I hear that the bottom end you will lose a bit but the top end is just as good in an apples to apples comparison.
For the 60hp to 50hp difference, i guess if you will have to post the boat specs for an answer.
As to the issues with them, thats better left to someone with one.
