i have the chance to buy a 115 horse johnson outboard for my 15.5 ft do ya think that this is ok for my boat or is it too much? it is rated for a 90

There's really no weight difference between a 90hp and a 115hp of the same year. However, there may be a thrust difference. Bottom line, the use it or don't use it decision will need to be your judgement call.
