Just got done doing the brushless conversion on the airboat, 3200kv outrunner 30amp esc 5x5 prop and 11.1v lipo, just did a quick test drive in the drainage ditch, the thing is a blast, not sure on the top speed yet.
Hey wimusky how fast is that thing? Looks sweet.

Thanks. Not really sure. I would guess in the 30's. It only has a 3.5cc nitro outboard. Looks like you're into electrics. I've seen some of those really scream......

Yes one of my 1st rcs was a traxxas tmax it was a beast but the fuel prices kept going up and those nitro engines are so tempramental, i went electric after that, much simpler in my opinion, especially with brushless setups putting out so much power. That shallow v fighter runs mid 20s with a modified brushed motor, im looking into brushless conversions for that and the outboard bass boat. Should be interesting.

RC Sailboats. I have a Soling and an Odom
ODOM

Cool, so they just have a single servo for steering, does it move the rudder and sail, or is there a seprate one for the sails? I dont know much about sail boats, lol but i guess the lighter the better.

Separate servo for sails.

I haven't sailed these in many years. They are kinda boring unless you race which is probably the same for the powerboats as well.

I like my RC helicopters, don't know that I could get into boats, now if I could do down scaled Unlimited Hydros that might be fun.

Re: RC boating?

I have RC cars, RC gas planes, RC Electric planes, RC gliders.

My favorite are the slope soaring gliders. My garage looks like a hangar.

But I am way more into biking...it also looks like a bike shop.

I still have three planes. Kids cam along and kinda change things. But WOW how cheap it is now compared to years ago. The electrics are really cool for backyard stuff.

I had a couple planes, and have been into cars forever. I did gas for awhile but electric is cleaner easier and sometimes faster. Lipo batts and brushless systems have made elec systems very nice.
