Boats? No. But I'm a bit of a helifreak. Just started to get into the fpv side of the hobby. I think I'll stick with the fixed wings for that tho.

Very cool! Can't imagine the investment.

Since we're talking R/C, anyone have flight simulator? I just bought Realflight 7 by Great Planes from Tower Hobbies. I believe that version came out last fall. For $150 you get the downloadable cd and 8 channel radio. There's over 90 planes, 30 helis, 40 fields one which is an aircraft carrier. You can fly warbirds, jets, trainers, bi-wings etc. Very cool and you can crash all you want, just hit the reset and your ready to fly again.... It's very realistic.......

I bought it many years ago to teach my ex how to fly. Was actually easier to teach her using a buddy box though.

I had it setup to use my actual radio.

I am sure its way better now though.

Yeah, it's very cool. It took me forever to land right. At first I was landing in the tall grass until I figured out the depth. Still land too hard at times and the engine kills. I try to dead stick all my landings. The main field I'm using is an actual 360? photograph. I could use my radio, I have a 5 channel, but it's too old for the plugin. I believe mine is round and the simulator is square.....

There's a switch for the landing gear and smoke for some of the planes.....

Here's a link to their website...

I want the sim really bad but my pc is to old and slow, need new pc then im buyin that, i played around on one at the local hobby shop, it was awesome he had like every booster pack with all sorts of aircraft, even blimps. Mabey i could learn how to fly a cp heli without actually crashing mine. Have you played on line? Sounds really cool.

Ive been watching alot of rc jet videos, way cool stuff, the planes are unbelievably fast.

The jets on the sim are fast too. They sound like the real deal when you crank them up for takeoff. Haven't down the online thing yet. Just bought it a couple weeks ago. Dad had bought the same thing last fall. Once I played with it I had to buy one...

They say minimum system requirements for the hard drive is 10GB. I have a 8GB system and it runs just fine....

The flight Sims have saved me thousands of dollars when I was learning to do piro flips.

8GB??????????????

Geeze, I have been running terabyte systems for quite a while now.

8GB? are you sure you are running an 8GB hard drive?

The HTPC I just finished building has 16GB of memory and 5 terabytes of HD storage.

I was mistaken, 8GB RAM, 750GB HD...... Got my terminology switched....
