Be very careful Sunbird's are known for weak/poor construction and are prone to stringer rot.

Sunbird was owned by OMC. If it's a stern drive, it probably has an OMC engine in it. You may want to avoid one of those as they are no longer fully supported by parts/service. They are also low(est) end boats.

Without knowing what engine you have on it, I did a NADA on it, and came up with $1820 - $2010, using the engine size range of 136-200hp. NADA is (IMO) a poor place to determine the value of any boat. See what similar boats in your area are going for, even go look at a couple, and that will give you a better starting point. Condition and maintenance of a used boat makes a huge difference.

it is hard, but I would simply suggest you spend a little time on craigslist, look at the pricing for other cuddy boats that seem in similar condition, and proceed that way. That is how the buyer will look at it, for sure. The fact you have the V8 is a very good thing, many 19' cuddies have 4cyl.

You're misreading the asterisks - the value is for the entire boat (with the selected motor) and trailer.

It didn't add anything to the value when I chose the HP range, so i think the numbers are 'valid'.

I believe you made a typo with the "corsica", but if it is a Sunbird "Corsair" 198 like in my avatar, I paid just under $4000 for a 1991 model with 4.3 V6 OMC in very clean condition. This is in central Illinois.

That is considerably more than book value, but all the clean boats in my are are more than book. And this was in the nicest shape for the money and what we were looking for.

Corsica is a valid model name, was available in 16', 18', and 19' in 1990.

At $4000, you probably stole it. NADA is useless without them taking condition and care into consideration. These aren't cars. I have also found that when you add in every option the boat has, the value moves considerably.

Not know jack about the boat, I would guess $3000 - $4000 isn't unreasonable to ask for based on what I see on CL all the time.
