Hey guys, I recently picked up an old (1982ish) flat bottom 14' jon boat and am looking at buy a new 15 hp Mercury 15" short shaft outboard for it. My local gander mountain is selling them on sale for $2199. I was wondering if you all think this is too powerful for this boat or not? Also, what speeds will I be able to see with this motor? 15mph?
