Question about wire on 55hp 69 johnson

The wire is coming off the top of the motor and it's not connected. I think it might be the high temperature alarm, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know what it connects to on my harness?

That does look like the temp sensor, should be tan or brown in color. Look around on the power head for the main harness and see if you can find the other end.

Yes that is high temp sensor. Should connect to main harness.
