All,
Thanks again for all the replies. If I did not give enough information, here is everything that I know:
The boat is 10' long x 5' wide
The boat weighs about 100 pounds
The motor is a 15HP Mercury, 4 stroke which weighs 112pounds (This is listed on the engine as 50.9kg)
Here is a picture of the inside and the location of the attachments.

As you can see from the picture, there is one attachment in the bow and two in the stern. The two in the stern are in front of the transom by about 6 - 8".
Based on your responses, here are the things I am going to try.
1. Adjust the length of the wires. I will try to shorten the two wires on the stern and lengthen the wire on the bow. For the test, I will probably just use braided rope and then cut the wires to length.
2. If #1 does not work, I am going to get some type of sling for the engine. I will leave the engine attached to the boat as I raise and lower it. Based on what you have said, this should work. I am listing this as option 2 as option 1 simply requires that I adjust the wires.
3. Option 3 is to use some type of engine eye or bolts that attach to the engine. I am not too keen with this idea as you have to remove the engine cover.
Thanks, Bill
