I'm sure I will, don't really know what's out there and I've only had this boat for about a month. What about you, have you added any other mods, or do you plan to?

Re: Q4 Smart Tab Install - Help

I've added the blue sea add a battery system and also a 2 bank charger for the batteries to keep it topped off at home.
I got a thing against dead batteries (bad experience when going out on my uncle's boat).

I also installed an extra 12v accessory socket and a ram mount ball mount thingy to keep my iphone mounted and powered. I run navionics app. Works great for 10 bucks, beats paying 500 for a gps.

I also got a sea sense water/fuel filter to be installed but need about 12 inches of fuel hose to make everything fit, not sure where to get a fuel hose that's that short yet.

After this I plan to add an extra set of speakers by the walk thru to the bow and possible some mid section cleats.

Sounds like some really good additions and it also sounds like I'll be able to bug you for install help when I decide to add these options down the road as well, lol.

Re: Q4 Smart Tab Install - Help

Took the boat out his weekend and it was wonderful...best $120 I may have ever spent. No bow rise, no porpoising, and I ran 44 mph @ 4600-4700 rpm with 2 guys in the boat (only got up to 41 mph before). Thanks for everyone's help...you've all been great!!!

They are supposed to be mounted about 5 inches from the outer part of the chine. If you talk to Nauticus they say try to get them as close to the specifications as possible. He also stated that they choose that area so people don't mount them under their boat...and then laughed.

I did the best that I could with the concave of the transom of my Q7i...they work great.

Here is the link to my install:
