Installed new control cables (restoration job) adjusted out of water. Put boat in water, noisy shifting into reverse, bring back to neutral-no noise, shift into forward noisy shifting into forward, shift back to neutral no noise. Do I need to adjust something else or is this a lower unit issue
Thanks

Hard to hear thoses noises over the internet. Be sure the out of gear idle is 1000 rpms or less. Do not ease it into gear. Those 2/1 gears in a Pro V 150 can easily be damaged with improper idle and shifting.

should be 575 in gear idle rpm
700 rpm neutral

u must warm up motor and be in water to set timing and rpm
