Is this the proper comprehensive manual to cover a 1989 J40 VRO ?
Says its 200 pages.
I'm lookin to maybe buy it.

In smaller motors there is quite a difference between 1994 and 1989 but many things will be the same.

Should I look for an earlier printing to all of the specifics for my 1989 motor ?

Not sure but omc made quite a few changes in 91 to 92.

I just saw an 1989 one online a few minutes ago.

About the only difference between 89 and 94 models is the driveshaft / crankshaft spline.----Bigger on the 94 model.

I did find a decent used one for $10.
