Prop pin

I'm not to familiar with boat motors but is the (prop pin)- (thrust pin)-(shear pin) the one that breaks if you hit a log or something, cause that sucker costs about $30. Is there a jury rig fix thats not expensive?

That sounds a bit high to me. Have you searched for it on iboats or a www.mercruiserparts.com?

I went to (boats .net). I checked mercruiserparts but their website doesnt seem to work, it doesnt show any diagrams.

I have a 1994 50hp force outboard, I'm not sure if its item# 23 or 25. One says it comes in 6 pieces but shows one part in the diagram.
