Re: prop for 2.5l mercruiser

I run an adjustable prop on my 140hp (3.0l merc), there are two companies that have the adjustable prop. Pirahna and a prop that westmarine sells. Ihave the westmarine prop which so far (5yrs) has worked fine, I think the pirahnna props looks for durable. If you are not against composit props I like the adjustable props to fine tune the pitch.
I run a 4 blade at 16pitch, speed is 27 mph @ 3800rpms, but I have a 21 foot starcraft cheiftain. Boat weight is about 4500lbs including trailer.

Did you look under the prop nut for numbers?
We really need your prop size,a prop shop could measure it for you.
Also need your present max rpm and speed. You might also look for the gear
ratio perhaps in the manual or on the outdrive.
