Prop diameter and pitch stamp incorrect

Recently pick up a Michigan prop SMC 345. When I tried to figure out info on the prop I discovered that the prop stamp designates the prop size as 1820. The prop however measured diameter is 14.75" and the pitch calculates out as between 17 and 17-1/2. Was this prop just miss stamped or maybe resized if that is even possible. The prop looks new. Does anyone have any insights.

Might very well be reworked, a good propsmith will make it look like new, however those I have had reworked have always been restamped with correct info. So your could be anything...have it checked at a prop shop to be sure your numbers are correct

Digging into this a bit, the SMC 345 (item # 082030) is advertised as a 15 x 17 prop.

Coincidence your 1820 matches 3 of the item numbers in sequence?

I have a couple props with no markings. May I ask "how did you calculate the pitch".

Looks like a fair old diameter from pics at least. What are you using this on, if you don’t mind me asking
