Re: Products that work well.

My 4yo son is pretty much potty trained but as anyone who has boys knows aim is an issue. My downstairs bathroom was smelling like a dirty bar bathroom. I figured pee must have gotten under the toilet or baseboard. I mixed some water and pine sol together and soaked the floor pretty good, then went back with an old towel and soaked it up. Let me tell you that the bathroom smell is completely gone.

So I decided to give it a try for mopping the floor with instead of our swiffer mop... It works so much better and smells great. When I read the back of the bottle it says you can use it on pretty much any surface (floors, walls, appliances etc...)

Basically I like Pine-Sol for 2 reasons. 1, it works and 2, it works on everything. I can mix some up and clean the counters, sink, stove-top, cabinets, kitchen stools, toilet, and floor. All with one kitchen towel (order of operations is important here).

Interesting... I'll mention it to our house keeper. Its got to be cheaper than the swiffers too.

Been using awsome for four or five years and for a buck a bottle you can' beat it.

It works "awesome" on white letter tires too!! Spray it on and use a brush, they will look like new again!

sylvania Silverstar Ultra's headlight bulbs. A bit expensive, but so much easier to see at night with them.

Light switch: haven't had to replace one in 40 years and back then that was a twenty cent item. :)

I've never tried comet on white letters, but I'll give it a shot. I normally use awesome or wesley's bleach-white.

The aftermarket soft scrub does a great job as well. Good one fly rod! I would like to add the use of Gorilla glues line of products especially thier super glue.

Gorilla tape. It held a window up from western PA to the Eastern shore through a snow storm. Put the window down to pay the toll and the cable broke. It even came off clean:)

Meguiar's Plast X
This is a five star product for boat plastic, lexan windsheilds, will save you a few hundred dollars, also takes out scratches. Cost about 25 bucks for kit with buffer and rag, if you already have small approx. 4 inch buffer then all you need is the bottle of liquid.

This product saved me 500 bucks. My windsheild was so bad that I had to step to starboard or port to see what was in front of me. Now it looks brand new.

I have a Ridgid drill from Home Depot. It's not the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive. It has held up well and mine occasionally goes sailing across the room/yard when things aren't going well. They have a lifetime warranty in the drill and batteries. I got two brand new batteries a couple of months ago and will again when they need replacing. I don't know anyone that has a warranty on batteries.

Some of what I am going to list has already been listed, but:

Awesome at the $ General store

Hairspray on a mosquito bite eliminates the itch. (So does Listerine). So will spray deodorant.

Listerine kills fleas on a dog

Bar Keepers Friend works well on stainless, and diamond tread tool boxes, boat rails, etc.

Peroxide on bugs on the front of a car, windshield, motorcycle farring. Spray, let it set for about 20 seconds wipe it off with a sponge.

Invisible glass glass cleaner !!!!!!

Husqvarna equipment, I know I'm hard on equipment, and it has held up very well. Customer service has always been good to me.

Seafoam

One Christmas, I recieved a remote controlled fart machine as a gag gift, and I found a practical application for it that works well. Slip it in your back pocket, and when you see a herd of people having a "family renuion" in the aisles of wal mart in front of the product you want to look at, simply push the button, and watch them clear out...It works better than OC spray.

Harbor Freights $6.99 battery tender, I've had 4 of them for a few years, and they do exactly what they are supposed to do.
