problem with tilt trim motor? with pics

I have a 89 90hp evinrude with power tt the motor is making low groaning noises and working intermitenly . no leaks and fluid is ok. I think it might need a motor replacement any help in that process would be great thanks.

Have you greased the tilt tube; that's where most of the groans come from. Good luck

If the PTT electric motor is indeed making noise and is operating intermittently, it's time to remove it for inspection anyway. Whether it needs replacing or not will be decided during that inspection.
