Problem posters and Trolls

I only received one email complaint about a recent problem poster. Thank you to that person who emailed me! I know that many of you were aware of this individual and tried to help him out. He should be emailing me today to complain that he can't post anymore. Please feel free to email me anytime at boards@iboats.com and make me aware of anything you think is important. You all have a much better sense than I do of what is going on around here. I just have the tools to correct a glitch once it is brought to my attention.<br /><br />Your emails with suggestions and "heads ups" will never become annoying. Thanks for making these boards what they are.

Amazing, isn't it? This rude, pompous clown didn't deserve jack ship...yet folks(Schematic,etc...) were right there willing to help him out. Sorry guys been away from a computer for a while. I was just curious what the guy was doing. (post topic) I just thought I might like to know what to avoid saying in the future. I have a tendancy to be a little ruthless.

I dont think so, nearly all of the posters on the other board are techs/ mechanics that have tools and test equipment, and at one time if you did not give all of the information ask for, your post would not get a reply. WWW.kits.com are about the same way with there air condition board, if you dont post model, and pressure readings, you dont get much of a reply, getting information from some of the posters is like pulling hens teeth. I would like to have The model number, year, number of cylinders, 60/90 degree for Johnson/Evinrude,and hp. Its hard to get test results I think because most of the posters dont have the test equipment/meters.

Clanton<br /><br />What if we could have a pre post page that asked the questions that all feel are imortant make mode year etc. abd would not let you proceed until you answer the questions. <br /><br />I recently went back to the itan board now you must close the post by giving the fix. Once that happens the others memebers rat your post. Everyone starts out with three post per month and zero points. the number of post go up or down based on ratings. I just don't know how to setup a page like that if I did I would be glad to do it.
