I'm new to this board but friends say this is the place to go for boat repair advice and I'm badly in need of some.
I have a 2006 Princecraft with some corrosion on the transom. The open seam has always bothered me, I can't understand why someone would design a transom that way but such is life. Up until recently I had planned to grind the corrosion down, fill the seam with JB Weld and re-paint. But now that I've read a few threads covering similar situations I'm starting to feel like having someone replace the transom might be the right move.
What would you guys do if faced with this situation?
