Hey everyone, I need some advice.

I was removing a carb from a 2004 Johnson 50Hp 2 stroke. When I was removing the fuel hose from the primer nipple the nipple came with the hose. It is a little brass nipple that appears to be pressed into the plastic cover on the top of the carb.

My question. Is this nipple just pressed into the cover or is it held in with some type of glue or epoxy?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Primer Nipple on Carburetor

It's just pressed in. Look real close and you'll see it's tapered. You could put some gasket sealer or gel seal around it to help it stick but be careful not to use too much. You could end up plugging it up. That hole is pretty small.

Thanks Dhadley,

I pressed it back in and it seems to hold. Just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing anything.

The fuel nipple on top of my 432666 carburetor broke off. This is the smaller nipple towards the top of the carb which the electronic primer connects. Can someone please help me find the part number for the press fit fuel nipple? The part that I need is NOT the larger fuel nipple on the side of the carb.

Thanks,
Greg
