Pressure test Alpha lower only

What have you guys found the best way to seal the oil passage in order to pressure test the lower of an alpha Gen II?

An SEI lower blew up and the new one is showing up today, My mechanic and I are just dropping the lower in the parking lot at the marina to save some time and haul out costs but I want to make sure they reassembled and sealed the lower properly before pulling the boat.

To answer my own question, but for others just in case. Plumbers putty worked fine to about 12 psi and held for long enough to satisfy my test, about an hour.

Ayuh,..... A little late to yer party, but a small cork or rubber plug works quite well too,....
