Hi folks,
I had a young helper applying teak oil to my exterior rub rail trim. He was sloppy, (I was away, not supervising him), and he had the oil running down onto the old gelcoat.
Should I use acetone, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, etc to try and remove oil in prep for painting with epoxy paint?

Thanks in advance,

Cap'n Bob

Ayuh,..... Try wiping it off with thinner on a rag,.....
If it's dried on,.... Sand it off as you sand the rest of the hull, in prepping for paint,....

you will be sanding the entire exterior with 80 grit, and wiping many times with acetone prior to paint
