Re: Prayer List
LF
my daughter suffred through school with a bipolar and add problem, by the 8th grade her impulsive reactions to outside stimuli mandated my wife (now x) had to home school her. the next year she wanted to go back to public school. worked out almost, about that time the Ex quit her meds, the 11th and 12th grade years were very good. kids are about the cruelest beings on the planet.
my nephew suffers from a missing chromeasome diesises. he is severly retarded. Dr's did not think he would live past age two.
he will be 9 in the spring. I never admitided the power of prayer but for christian I cant find another answer.
he cannot see well, cannot do much for himself, just this year he is about potty trained, he is bigger than most 9 yera olds yet cannot do much on his own. he cannot "speak" but he has a vocabulary of about 50 sounds.
he love music and has picked up some tunes he likes to play on the piano.
my oldest sis and I are not physically close but when I go to yamaha schools I stay with them.
I asked her one day how could she handle that burden.
she said two things, prayer and teaching.
her and christian spent many hours at various schools telling middle and high school students about mental health issues.
its the only way you can help him.
not only can kids be the cruelest beings on the planet they actually have the capacity to be the most compassonate.
I spent 2 years almost everyday being involved with my daughter in school and after school projects. once the kids understood her problems and we had some question and ansew sessions it was good.
so my prayers go out but you have a long hard row to hoe but if you do it right the youth of today will amaze you
