Powerdrive Advanced GPS Upgrade kit Remote recommendation

I am about to order an upgrade for my Minn Kota powerdrive trolley motor. I am in love with this thing. This is my first bow mount trolley motor ever. I feel like I've been missing out for a good 10+ years of fishing with a transom mount one.

I am trying to decide which remote to get. I have 3 options. 1 Use my phone, 2 micro remote, 3 full size remote. Cost for the full size remote kit is $540. I can get the upgrade kit only for $300 and use my phone. I have no experience for preference on any of them. Looking for what y'all would suggest?

I won't have the ipilot link, so I won't have ability to program into my fish finder (I don't currently own one anyways). 90% of my fishing is simply floating down river for smallies.

Well, I’m certainly not a fan of using a cell phone as a HMI display.

In a boat drift fishing?
Gonna get wet, gonna get beat up over time.
