Would a power trim off a 70hp merc fit or work on a 50hp merc?

What year are the 70 and the 50?

70hp is 1979 and 50hp is 1976

Yes if it's the external twin ram. Here are some instructions in case you don't have a manual. Don't try to drive the tie bolt out of the spacer, just remove one clamp
bracket and the 2 nuts and pull it out.

So do I have to chage the mounting bracket from one to the other?

No just the cylinders but the PT has a longer tie bolt that goes into the bottom of the cylinder bracket.

Ok the 50hp dosn't have power trim I want to put power trim on it hope we are on the same page
