Hey, wait a minute, how are you getting multiple quotes all in 1 post. I tried earlier & it didn't recognize the code for any quoted texts beyond the 1st......

^^^^ something else you can't do. Posts must be 3 or more characters. I'll explain in a bit. Remember in another topic I said I could do everything I wanted to do in the forum. :D

Aw - I'm a double charlatan. Since multi quotes aren't turned on yet, I devised my own way. Simply repetitive cut/pastes. That's all. But when it helps explain something, I'll do the painful process until it's enabled in the software. Or since the upgrade was done for increased security, I'll hack it and turn multi quote on.

OK - That's a joke.

Hmm, I think I tried cut & paste, but maybe I was just putting the {quote] {/quote] Bbcode before & after the text I was typing. It was an attempt to say something like this:
I didn't say that

To which I replied:
Yes you did

The forum software only recognized the 1st set of quotes

Using the nifty new Preview button, I checked & now both those ^^^ quotes showed up as quotes. Go figure

Every forum I'm on is a drastically different setup, but the Bb codes are all pretty much the same. I regularly jump back & forth, so I often type the codes rather then using the editor features....

First I quote, then copy

your abbreviated post #1

cancel the reply, find another post to quote, paste #1 above the new quote

IIIII ? #2

Then copy the whole thing, cancel the reply and find the next post to quote and paste the previous combo quote above the new quote

... of course it would flip on that post. :dizzy: #3

Just keep it up for all the quotes and what you want to add and post the reply. You can cross quote from other topics, even other forums that use VB. Needless to say, you have to Preview a lot to keep everything straight.

Just a workaround to roll your own M-Q until M-Q gets enabled. Yes - It's a PITA, but it gets the job done.

Not a trick, some of us have been doing it for a while - it helps to have word or notepad open to cut-n-paste

Multi Quote works, simply select the "Quote" button on posts you wish to quote and then click the yellowish-gold button that says "Post Reply" should be on top of the page.

toneeees, I am curious as to why, the moderators as well as your administrator designation is now display * asterisk symbol instead of your designation spelled out? I noticed this the other day when one of the moderators posted.

Wow, just noticed, I only have 2 more posts to go until I hit 3000 posts, so I guess it is counting my posts.

It should just be an adjustment setting that one of the administrators will eventually find in one of the control panels once again. The Mod title has come and gone a few times now over the course of adjustments. At this time, certain cosmetics features and benefits are lower priority than others.;) Thanks for being positive and helping out iboats through these trying times MT, Much appreciated.:)
