I know how that smallest boat in the lake thing works!! Nice looking boat! Bet it wasn't the ugliest that's for sure!! :cool:

Well, I think she was one of the prettiest, but I'm biased.:D

It's fun to see how the other half lives and find out that they aren't really any different than the rest of us. The couple with the 40' Luhrs next to us, started out the same way we did. A 15ft Trihull, then the 21ft cuddy and now they have the 40'. Kinda gets me thinking. :cool:

Grandparents bought it new in 1979, used maybe a dozen times over it's first decade of life, then stored. After 5 years of repeated requests, it's now out of storage, and thanks to members here, running great as of yesterday!

Gotta love the "iodine-tinged 80s tan accellerator coating" on the seats!

Just picked up our SECOND boat, a 1982 Imperial V183 with an Evinrude 115 on the rear. Gonna try it out at the lake most likely tomorrow. Once its tried out, I guess the Invader goes on CraigsList.

Its a 17.5 foot bowrider. The interior leaves some to be desired, but structurally its sound.

InvaderScott I like that Imperial. Looks like a real nice deep V with high side. Should do awesome in the chop. A 115 should be good power for it.

Thanks, Found it on the DevilsList for 1200, and got it for 1100. According to NADA, I got a deal (not by much though) and the engine purrs like a kitten with cream in her belly. It should ride better than the trihull Invader, while it wasnt that bad, It was a bit like a bulldozer when going through some rough stuff.

THERE IS ALOT OF NICE BOATS ON HERE AND IM GLAD TO SEE YOU ARE ALL STILL POSTING!! THIS IS MINE, NOW KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS MY FIRST BOAT AND IT HAD A SMALL TREE GROWING OUT OF THE TRANSOM. I TOLD MY GIRL THAT I WANTED A BOAT AND WAS LOOKING AROUND AND DECIDED THAT I COULDENT FIGURE OUT WHAT I WANTED SO I WOULD JUST BUILD MY OWN. SO HERE IT IS, I HAD CUT THE BACK OFF TO REBUILD THE TRANSOM AND REMOVED THE FLOOR. SO FAR IT IS MOSTLY SANDED AS FAR AS THE OUTSIDE IS CONCERNED AND THE TRANSOM IS REPLASED. WHEN I GET HOME FROM DOING SO FISHING THIS WEEKEND IM GOING TO REPLACE THE FLOOR. I DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND, YEAR OR MODEL SHE IS BUT I THINK SHE WILL PLEASE ME IN THE END. THANKS FOR VEIWING AND THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR WALKING ME THREW THIS PROJECT ONE GLASS LAYER AT A TIME. THANKS AGAIN TOOCAN

Last January I purchased my first boat for $800. It was a very nice 1988 Bayliner Capri with a 2.3L OMC. I kept the Bayliner till the beginning of July and then decided to get something bigger. I knew I got a nice price on the Bayliner but had no idea i could 5x my money on it. Anyways I sold it for enough to pay for the majority of my current 1990Wellcraft 233 Eclipse. I ended up getting about $4,000 for the Bayliner and then paid $5,500 for the Wellcraft. I have no idea what the value of a Wellcraft is but I am pretty sure I got a decent price. Its isn't MINT but is still a sharp looking boat.

Here is my first boat I own. Family has had many boats but they were my dad's. Picked it on on CL 2 weeks ago.

First time i launched this boat and the ramp was about 60 yards long and a 34 deg angle. Lake Travis was 43 feet low and it required 4x4 low.
