The bow is a little (bright ) on a good sunny day , but hey i wear shades on the water so no biggie.

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

yes cheap boat it is a 16 ft holiday .

Move the windshield forward just about 10 1nches and mounted steering right n the flat part of the dash, moved sinle swivel seats along with it.
Lookin for more " inches " for fishing room.
1990 merc 90hp t/t and a 15hp evvy on the side , 54ish pound minkotta o the other side.

bout 47 mph loaded down n ready to fish. me-220 pounds plus the boy about 190. she is a ball to play or fish !

used the small discs on the gunwales all the way up alog the edge to the peak of the bow ,gave it the old spun aluminum effect .
have plans to paint the center of the bow and the bottom of boat , maybe a gunmetal grey like color.

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

Some really great looking boats for sure! I picked up this 1984 19' Islander this past summer in Michigan (I live accross the border in Canada eh) for the paltry sum of $1450.00. I really dont know at this point how far I am going to go with this but plans are paint, floor with wash down marine vinyl, cuddy door and side walls/panels. I had a ball fishing lake Erie this summer, just shake the keys and the motor starts. A little leaky but will deal with that when the floor is replaced. Not much too look at now....but wait till next year!

Nice buy Bandit! You'll love that Islander for big water. Nice smooth ride. Stabile boat.

You'll have to let me know how that pedestal seat is mounted. I want to put a couple in my Chieftain. But I would need 36" pedestal to see over the cabin. Sounds unstable?

Again nice buy and welcome to the Starcraft world.

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

well here is the project i just started.
its a real mess even was jackknifed knocking holes in the bow on both side
so far:
replaced 20 + rivets up the middle
cut out the soaked foam under the flood
rebuilt motor and head 140hp omc
new water pump and shaft in leg
weld on new skeg
new floor and coverings
new side panels and covering
seats are next
Not sure what to expect from this boat, it sure looks ugly at this point.
wondering how it will perform with the 140hp motor should go well i would think.

Hi Nowback.......hmmm...patch look the same on the other side???
Put a size matching American flag or Pirate Flag or some other design that exactly matches the size of the patch....so the patch does not look so much like a patch???

the guy who did that patch you see in the picture was a fool
its a chunk of 1 by 6 with 50+ screws into it from the back side
I cut it out today hammered it back to proper shape and will weld in
a patch tomorrow maybe.
paint a cannon port LOL

Hi DDRIECK.....
have you checked the speed of your boat with gps? I have a similar 16ft
Starcraft with a 60hp johnson...been thinking of upgrading...seems like
most people with an 85hp on a 16ft Starcraft Supersport get between
35mph and 40mph....oh and what prop are you using for the given speed?
