You got this, you'll have some work ahead of you but it can all be learned.

Rikki,
please document your efforts in the topic about your rebuild, not here.

Sean,
as you have 9posts, no need to continue to pad your post count to enable posting of pix.

Your 2 previous posts in this topic were blank/failed to load a pix, and have been deleted.

This is a post a pix of your Starcraft topic, not a motor or rebuild topic.

New to me 1976 22' Holiday. Bought from original owners son. Well loved over its lifetime. Solid floor. Needs a good cleaning and a tune-up, but I can't wait to jump into it.

I just bought this 1996 221SS about a month ago. The dealer I bought it from said that they do a final inspection of all boats before they let them off the lot. While I appreciate that, it was 2 weeks before they could get it into the shop for inspection, then they found it needed a new flywheel and water pump. I am coming up on 4 weeks since my purchase and the kids are getting antsy! First boat ever for our family, so I am hopeful it turns out to be a good experience.

Nice looking boat, should be a great craft for the family. :thumb:

Not much in an owners manual that would help you out. What are you wanting to know? The main thing with an I/O is to have a Mercruiser repair manual is you're going to do the work on it yourself as man y of us do.

Just starting on this one....I've been around the block a time or two...last boat was a Cobalt Condurre 223 back 20 years ago. This time starting small...er....

1997 1810SS unloved for a while...new interior to come..but ofcourse what boat project would be complete without a soft floor and rotted stringers...the vortec 4.3LX runs very well with cold compressions in the 160s. Getting ready to pull the engine and floor to see just how bad it all really is.

Just picked this gem up: 1974 Holiday, 140hp Mercruiser MC1 outdrive. All original except the paint. Interior is in really nice shape, not sure how it will hold up though, being that it's 46 years old.

Here's my latest Craigslist acquisition. A 1958 Starcraft Constellation, with Gator trailer, and 75HP Evinrude Speedifour outboard I picked up for just $150 :D Trailer fenders are missing, but I have a pair off a late 50s Holsclaw trailer that should work.

You posted this back when you got it, Oct 2015. Been working on it?
