"Old Gold" is one sweet rig Mark, I'd be willing to help "move" that thing out of your yard too if you find it's getting in the way

Just kidding, glad to see a multiple Starcraft owner finding the proper place online to share pics and whatnot. If you repaint I assume she will remain "Old Gold"...right?

Thank you for the welcome.
Where is the meet and greet going to be next year? If it to be a long haul then "Big Bad Red" is the tow boat. But if it to be closer, then "Old Gold" would be my water ride of choice. Andy, what type of paint did you use for your ride? Gold has original paint,but is needing a new paint. Your new painted ride looks great.


I am located NE of Scranton. Ever get up this way?

No I don't get up that way much. I used to have family in the coal regions. Thanks for the compliements. My paint job is good old Rustoleum and it's been holding up very well for over 3 years.

I happened to notice in your photo bucket pictorial there was a 30# Chinnie. Was that taken from Lake Huron? Very nice mount...

Thanks for the reply Mark...my folks caught that 33lb Chinook in Lake Michigan near Petoskey back in 1991. I've been told it was the third-biggest salmon caught that year in Michigan.

The mount did turn out really nice and it is above their hearth proudly displayed. They had to drive all over town to try to find a scale that went that high, they did certify the weight and got a master angler for the catch.

Here's a newer photo...it took around 45 minutes to get her in the boat
