Well I guess all my work on everything was fine. I had a work buddy check compression for me a few weeks back and he told me it was fine. I brought my boat into a shop yesturday and today they called me and told me I had no compression on 2 cylinders. I do know the previous owner had done work on the valves. So I'm hoping that's the problem. But probably not.

If it is two adjacent cylinders, probably the head gasket blown between them. Easy fix, pull the head, clean up the block surface, have the head checked by the shop and put her back together, you are almost there. You know, I would go to Autozone and borrow a compression tester and check it out myself.

I'm having the shop do the work. I've put alot of time into it and neglected alot of things around the house. I won't know anything more about it til sometime next week.

Finally got the boat back. The put a rebuilt engine in. Didn't cost as much as I thought it would. Took the boat out last weekend and she ran so good. But I had to call it quits when I noticed alot of water in the engine house and the bilge pump had died.
