Plug Wire Removal

I Have A 87 Merc 70 Hp I Think It May Have Abad Plug Wire And I Need To Remove It From Coil To Check It But I've Pulled Pretty Hard And It Didn't Move. Are These Made To Be Removed From Coil?

Before you yank any more, remove the cap and BE SURE the wires arent held in with little screws. The wires on my merc 300 are.
