Hi, I was hoping you could help me identify what exactly this motor is.....?
I've talked with Mercruiser and GM and have gotten no match, thinkin it must be OMC?
It appears to be a Chev 350 / 5.7 L, though I'm not sure if it is Mercruiser or OMC, or a standard automotive built 'marine'.
It is in a 1980 Glastron Carlson Intimidator (CVX-20 Stern Drive with top side thru hull exhaust)
This was stock with a 260 Mercruiser package but the motor has been replaced.
The spark arrestor is OMC, but the engine has been frankensteined as far as I can tell.
Here's what I've been able to get off the motor:
V07234WT on Front Right Pad - GM
14010207 on Bell - GM
CFD 207 on Block -GM
462624 on Heads - GM
346250 on Intake - GM
17059288 on Carb - Rochester Quadrajet
Exhaust manifolds are aftermarket Osco's......... (I just put them on, so this old picture shows the old Log style)
Trying to identify exactly what this is, but having no luck.
Appears to be a marine build as the freeze plugs are brass.
Appears to have been painted while dissassembled, though hard to say for sure.
Block, heads, Intake, Timing Chain Cover, all silver.
Little help??????????? Virtually impossible to get some correct parts without knowing what year, make, hp, etc......
