Pictures of your OMC's???

I notice the Mercury guys had some pics of their motors--I'd really like to see some of your old or new (I like the old) ones. Here goes some of mine---one of my '57 18hp, my son, me, and my dad taking pic of the 10hp in my sign., and my '55 7.5 evinrude and '53 10hp (sitting in the house and running--my favorite motor).

Man those are beauties!!! Did you repaint them? I' try to get a pic of my '62 Lightwin once I'm done tuning it.

Thanks--Yeah, I repainted 'em. Not original color but I still like 'em. Hurry up and get your 3 tuned up and take a pic of it runnin' on the boat. I like to show my wife I'm not the only one willing to trust these old girls.

I PAINTED IT 10 YEARS AGO..

Here's one of the other '57 18hp I just got finished resealing l.u., rebuilding carb, and replacing bad crankshaft seal---all with help from iboats forum. This is today's photo by my 5 yr. old helper! THANKS

By the way, this motor is the rare RIGHT-Handed model that was a special order by "Lefty".----------------not really, just playing with the pic for fun.

I have motors older than those. The motors in the photos are all good runners.

Here are a couple of the 1957 7.5 hp that I am working on.

Planning on firing up this afternoon if I have enough time. New coils, condensers, points, plug wires, new water pump, rebuilt carb, new head gasket and powerhead gasket.

Hopefully it will be up and running soon........

Man I really love that old red color, a buddy of mine has a very similar motor that I was eyeballin all summer Don't think he's inclined to let it go however
