Does anyone use this bottom Paint?

Read alot, mixed terminology..

Ive got Pettit Ultima SR60 now, Ablative. Like it but discontinued.

I dont want a hard paint that builds up. This HRT seems kinda Both and is Multi Season.....all good, but want to bensure it Sloughs off slowely as Im used to-without build up.

Anyone use it and know for real?

Thanks

I would think Pettit would have a replacement for it. I believe it was 60% copper plus slime resistant stuff. It could be that it was too toxic.

In any case, the West Marine generic for SR40 was PCA Gold. That works pretty good.

More intel on anti slime additives in bottom paints.

SR-40 and SR-60 as well as PCA Gold once had Ingarol as their anti slime additive. Ingarol licensing was discontinued in 2015, and existing supplies ran out.

Pettit has named successor paints (Odyssey and Odyssey Triton) to both SR-40 and SR-60, which have more copper and some zinc added to help control slime.

West marine has reformulated PCA Gold and replaced Ingarol with PTFE (teflon-type stuff).

It also appears that you can still get Ingarol in some A-F paints(Trinadad SR), but not all of them, and who knows for how long.
