Hi,
I had a perko medium duty dual battery switch installed this spring; on battery two and not on #1, I'm getting some minor electric feedback which may cause my bilge to go on or at other times, my accessory lights will illuminate? Any advice is appreciated on what's causing this ghost power.
Thanks!

So if it is installed on just one battery, why did you need a dual battery switch? In that application it can only turn battery two on and off. If you powered some accessories from battery #2 via the COM terminal on the switch, but they were grounded to battery #1 and the two battery grounds are not tied together it is no wonder things don't work correctly. We have no idea how this thing was wired so give us some more info.

Thanks, to clarify; both batteries are tied together & grounded. The problem only happens when I switch over to battery number 2 ?

Why not take it back to the person who installed the switch? Something is not right and it will be far easier for that person to find it with the boat in front of him.

Are you saying that the lights illuminate even when the light switch is turned off?

The first, and easiest (IMHO), thing you should do is verify the installation. This thread shows how the switch should be installed:

It sounds like something is connected to one of the battery's (+) terminals before the Perko, so a) it's not getting switched, and b) there may be "feedback" (biasing?) when the Perko switch is in a certain position (2).
