I have everything apart to change the drive bellows but I would like to start the boat to work on a couple other things. Can I start the boat and let the engine run with all of that disconnected?
Assuming you mean can you run on muffs with the upper gear box removed, the answer is yes. Just cover up the intermediate housing so dirt and any splashes of water doesn't get into the rest of the drive.
